Are You Thinking About Starting a New Business?

strating a business, small startup business, starting a part time business

Do you sometimes dream of running your own business? Have you grown tired of doing the same things day after day? Is your head filled with great ideas that you really can’t use in your current employment situation? Perhaps it’s time to start your own business.

Without plenty of money in a contingency fund, starting a business can be risky, and there aren’t many of us who earn enough to put a substantial amount aside each month. So, what can you do when you have a hankering to be your own boss, but not money for capitalizing a business?

Start small, do it part time, and try out a business that doesn’t require a huge investment for begin with. There are so many online opportunities now, and for the most part all you really need is a reliable internet connection, a good computer and some know how. Know how is easy to find, just go on YouTube and watch videos, take notes, and watch them again. Then watch some videos which serve to inspire and fire you up.

There are also a multitude of tools available for free on the different sites that publish articles specifically for different sizes and types of businesses. Business News Daily posted an article this past September, and there were some pieces of advice I really liked:

“The $100 Startup One-Page Business Plan. One-page business plans take the fuss out creating a business plan by getting down to the basics of what your business is about and how you intend to meet its goals. Think of it like writing down your business on a napkin, but with a purpose. The $100 Startup’s One-Page Business Plan is one such business plan template. Simply answer a few questions like “What will you sell?” “What will you charge?” and “How will customers learn about your business?” in a couple of sentences and you’re good to go. The author writes about all manner of business plans, but the very detailed business plans, can be too overwhelming for someone who is ready to start small and work up to something bigger when time and funds allow.

Don’t forget, having a consistent presence and a trained operator to answer those calls your are going to get with your great, new business, is something your should include in your business plan.
